Bare not nude are a collection of nude portraits taken of my close female friends. I was privileged enough to document their vulnerabilities, exposing them within the comforts of a familiar space. Literally stripped bare, their bodies suffuse the photographs with a female tacitness and the crumbling walls of self preservation.

For them, it took the familiarity of a Sapphic friendship group existing in a miasmic cloud of trust and infused with a rougher slice of canyon petrichor to deliver an almost emotive, ethereal world projected through their skin and read through my eyes.

A few live here, a couple nearby and some are overseas visitors who slept by my side.
